    A new scholarship in memory of beloved Batesville High School (BHS) administrative assistant Bobbie Brandes will join two existing scholarships to be awarded by the Batesville Community Education Foundation (BCEF) in 2022, announced BCEF executive director Anne Wilson. Scholarship awards to students from BCEF will total just under $30,000 this year.

    With a dozen 12th-graders being recognized between games Friday evening, the Oldenburg Academy Twisters took care of the business end of things by sweeping visiting Madison Shawe Memorial out of the Hillenbrand Family Feldhaus. The boys took the court first and posted a 54-29 final; in the nightcap, it was the Lady Twisters frustrating the Lady Hilltoppers to the tune of 37-20.

  • The library will offer two special art programs in January.  The first will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22nd from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This program features Bob Ross certified floral instructor Karen Saunders, who will lead the group in painting Bob Ross' Yellow Coreopsis Flowers.
