If the library is closed and you need something to read, visit ebatesville.com /ebooks and check out our eBook collection! There you will find three different eLibrary options that allow you to easily download books.
The most popular choice is Overdrive / Libby, which has thousands of eBook options. You can choose from a wide variety of genres such as mystery, suspense, romance, westerns, Christian fiction and much more. And if you like non-fiction, you will find a large selection. Many of our readers prefer the Libby app, which is easy to use, but you can also read directly from your computer with the Overdrive version of the software. You will find great help screens to get you started. And Overdrive / Libby has items for all age groups.
TumbleBooks is a great choice for children's books. It has Story Books which are animated talking picture books, Chapter Books and Read-Alongs for older elementary readers, graphic novels and even National Geographic videos. You can use Tumble-Books right from your browser or you can download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
And lastly we have Hoopla. Hoopla is better known for a large variety of movies and TV shows, but it also has a nice eBook collection with interesting categories such as Book Club Recommendations, Books for Bedtime, Home-school titles and much more.
And if you prefer to listen to a book while on the road, Overdrive / Libby and Hoopla both offer audio books. You do need a BMPL library card to access these fantastic resources. If you have any questions, contact the Batesville Memorial Public Library at 812-934-4706. With our eLibrary, you will never have a book emergency again!
