Dear Friends,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirit. As our nation continues to fight this pandemic, I recognize that this has been a difficult year for all. Still, I hope this holiday season serves to remind each of us the many blessings in our lives and gives you a renewed sense of optimism that better days lie just ahead.

To that end, Denise and I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Throughout this past year, we have all been called upon to make great sacrifices. Valuable time with family and friends has been missed. Livelihoods have suffered as businesses have had to confront the painful challenges of this global pandemic. Worse still, many of us have had to personally struggle against this virus or perhaps have even lost a loved one in the fight against COVID-19.

Despite these unprecedented challenges, Hoosiers have come together - never failing to offer a loving hand of help to a neighbor in need. Throughout the Sixth District, I am proud to see our communities, friends and neighbors rally around each other.

In that spirit, I am reminded of a verse that I often reflect upon during Christmas: Romans 12:10 tells us to “Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.”

I hope 2020 reminds us all of what truly is important. In the spirit of Christmas, we should all try to give back and love each other. As we become increasingly confident that COVID-19 will be defeated soon in the new year, I hope we all renew our commitment to treating others with a newfound sense of love and affection.

Merry Christmas!
